The District is happy to announce the hire of Ms. Mary Fundeen and Ms. Diane Seitz to fill our final two elementary positions. Ms. Fundeen is a graduate of Bristol Bay and someone who just completed her student teaching experience in our school. Ms. Seitz has many years of teaching experience, most recently in Chevak, Alaska. We are very excited that both women chose Bristol Bay as their next step.
Please help all of us welcome our new teachers! We know the new year will be very exciting for all.

The school district is always interested in hearing from our students, parents, and community members and that input helps guide us in our planning for programs, facilities, and student academic and extra curricular activities. In 2007-2008 committees helped determine some very important decisions and commitments for the district. Committees helped in these areas:
- Student Handbook Update
- Strategic Planning for the district
- District Technology Plan and laptop program
- Carl Perkins Grant Review and Development
- Indian Education Parent Advisory Committee
and so many other areas!
In the new school year we will be asking for your help again. Among the areas we will need input and support:
- Developing a Booster Club to support student activities and athletics
- Creating an evening gym and supervision schedule for students in grades k-12
- Creating a library remodel committee that will help guide the planning for our new library expansion that will occur in the summer of 2009.
- Having your input on the science and math curriculum reviews that we will conduct this year
- Creating a committee to review the staff evaluation procedures and make recommendations to update that plan
